New course set for NOSTA Group management: Ivo Aris appointed COO Global Sea & Air

Continuous expansion of the company planned

Osnabrück, January 9, 2024 – NOSTA Group continues its consistent internationalization and announces the appointment of Ivo Aris as COO Global Sea & Air. He joined NOSTA in September 2023 and has officially held his new position on the management board of the family-owned company since January 1, 2024. With Aris' expertise, the internationally active full-service logistics provider intends to further develop its strategic approaches for the Sea & Air division, among other things. His predecessor Peter Mundt is stepping down from his management position after six successful years, but will remain with NOSTA for individual projects in the sea and air freight sector.

"I am not only delighted that we gained an internationally experienced logistics expert, team player and innovator for our Management Board in Ivo Aris. His knowledge and strategic understanding will be beneficial for the entire NOSTA Group and will enable us to work together even more efficiently and better in the future," says Nicolas Gallenkamp, CEO of the NOSTA Group. Peter Mundt previously held the position of Head of Sea and Air Freight at NOSTA. Mundt and Aris already know each other from working together in the past and will continue to realize joint projects in their new positions after the introductory phase.

Ivo Aris is 57 years old, originally from Amsterdam and feels right at home in the logistics sector. Having previously worked at Road Air, Rhenus Logistics and most recently as Vice President Europe Global Forwarding at C.H. Robinson, the Dutchman is familiar with both the operational and organizational challenges of companies of different sizes and specializations.

The new COO Global Sea & Air appreciates NOSTA's long-term corporate vision and its employee-oriented culture. "Thanks to my colleague and friend Peter Mundt, I already knew a lot about the company values and the team. I like the fact that NOSTA still keeps its family spirit despite its enormous growth and continues to harmonize the two," says Aris.

The new Managing Director of the Group's international Sea & Air companies wants to build on the foundations laid by his predecessor while also focusing on the future: "Peter and his team have done a great job over the past few years, and I definitely want to continue this work. Together, we have set long-term goals for strategic development and decided to revise them regularly." The agenda includes expanding the NOSTA Group's geographical network in Europe and North America and strengthening individual functional areas such as procurement, sales and partner management.

As NOSTA is not controlled by shareholders, Aris sees the freedom and long-term perspective to offer employees opportunities. "I have visited many NOSTA locations since September and have been able to experience the great potential of our employees first-hand. This dynamic strength is something I would like to utilize and encourage in order to strengthen the close partnership between the Management Board and all employees," explains Aris.

Peter Mundt, former COO Sea & Air, welcomes his successor's plans: "Standing still is a step backwards. I am making room for a new generation on the NOSTA Management Board and look forward to innovative talent in management positions as well as new development strategies for the coming years. I am particularly pleased that I can be part of the change and will be able to remain actively involved."

With the new course of the Management Board, the Osnabrück-based company is sending out clear signals for the continuous development of the NOSTA Group and the international expansion of the Sea & Air division. Despite all the changes, CEO Gallenkamp emphasizes that the Group will continue to strengthen its tailor-made service offerings and place the customer at the heart of its activities.
