The press reports of recent weeks and the strengthening of far-right forces in the political landscape in Germany are worrying. From an economic perspective, xenophobia, racism and discrimination are absolutely wrong and are therefore strongly condemned by us.

"Our mission as an international logistics service provider is to build bridges, not walls," explains our CEO Nicolas Gallenkamp in a statement published today. Among the more than 800 employees of the Group worldwide are people from different cultures, nations and religions. Promoting this diversity is a central component of our corporate culture. After all, this strong cooperation across borders has made us a successful company in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

However, we are not just opposing a racist and discriminatory world view. Rather, we want to stand up for something: For education and awareness. For inclusion and mutual respect. And, naturally, for tolerance and diversity. Because we will only overcome the numerous challenges of this globalized world if we live these values together.

Under the motto "Together for a diverse Germany", we want to bring together not only other companies, but also each and every one of our fellow human beings in Germany. The hashtag #WIRtschaftgegenrechts (Translation: #economyagainsttheright) stands for our joint commitment to tolerance and diversity. Statement from our CEO Nicolas Gallenkamp

The current political developments in our country are very worrying. 

In particular, the rise of right-wing extremist forces must be countered with a clear stance: never again! 

Our mission as an international logistics service provider is to build bridges, not walls. We see ourselves as an essential part of global trade and human exchange, a role that goes far beyond the mere transportation of goods.

With this in mind, we want to make it clear that any form of racism and discrimination has no place in our company. We pride ourselves on creating a working environment that values and promotes diversity. Our employees represent a wide range of cultures, languages and perspectives, which makes us not only stronger but also more empathetic as a company.

We are therefore committed to continuous education and awareness-raising with regard to racist tendencies and discrimination. It is our goal to foster an atmosphere of inclusion and mutual respect not only internally, but also in the wider community in which we work.

Our customers, partners and employees know that as an international logistics service provider, we work across borders and are committed to a world in which diversity and tolerance are recognized as strengths. We stand firmly against racism in all its forms and are committed to actively contributing to the creation of a fairer and more inclusive society.

We call on the current government to protect the state through smart and, above all, forward-looking decisions. The rise of extremist parties must absolutely also be seen as a protest. 

Konrad Adenauer already warned with the words: One must never say “too late”. In politics, too, it is never too late. There is always time for a new beginning.
